SUMMARY OF TEACHING:
God is looking for people that are going to seek Him wholeheartedly. One of the things that we should be praying and asking from the Lord in this season is: Lord, teach me righteousness. Teach me what’s right in Your sight. Teach me what is holy to You. Teach me what’s clean in Your sight. Teach me what’s pure in Your sight. There are things that we inquire from the Lord, that we seek the Lord for, until He starts freeing us from them and starts raining righteousness on us.
When we sow sin or disobedience, we reap that harvest as well. The devil looks for a way in through our disobedience. Sin and disobedience often open the door for the enemy to oppress us. A Lot of times, we have eaten from the fruit of lies. We have believed, entertained and harbored lies of the enemy in our heart. The Lord wants to deliver us from those lies, deception and false identity.
We grow in maturity when we start living from our spirit that has been made alive and is being led by the Holy Spirit. We are to live out what Jesus modeled for us. God wants to move us from Acts 2:38 to Acts 10:38; from having salvation, and just rejoicing over salvation, to us bringing salvation (deliverance, healing, the Light and Kingdom of God) to others. The only way we can do this is if we are anointed and consecrated, made clean and set aside, for service unto the Lord.
It's important for us not to get so caught up in what we are doing for God, that we forget to actually love God. God is calling us back to our first love; where we serve and follow Him, because we love Him. The only way that we can love Him properly is if we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to love Him. Falling in love with Jesus, empowers us to obey Him.
Like Paul, we can get to a place where we are completely surrendered to the Holy Spirit. Partial obedience is disobedience. Submission is obeying God with a willing heart. Whatever we desire to do more than loving God has become our idol. He is calling us higher and into deeper intimacy with Him. God requires our complete obedience, our complete submission and our whole heart.
