SUMMARY OF TEACHING:
We have access to God
We can draw near to the Lord with unveiled faces, have as much of Him as we want and see His glory. The more time we spend in God’s presence, the more we shine with His glory and the more we are transformed into His image. We are the spiritual Zion; a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.
Opening the doors of our hearts
In Psalms 24, David was teaching both the land and the people how to receive the King of Glory with honor and celebration. We have to make a conscious decision to open up the doors of our hearts for His glory and goodness. We open up our hearts to the Lord through prayer, worship and by pursuing Him.
Open up the doors of unbelieving hearts
By operating in the gifts of the Spirit, we can help others open up the door of their hearts to the Lord. A prophetic message reveals the secrets of a person's heart and causes him/her to acknowledge God.
Opening gates in the spiritual realm
We need to have the visible, tangible presence of the Lord among us for people to see and know that the Spirit of the Lord is among us. When we come together - in prayer, praise and worship - things open up in the heavenly realm. In the book of Acts the fear of the Lord came upon the people.
He stands at the door and knocks
Go as deep as you can with God. Allow Him to live His life through you. The more you die to the flesh, the more you come alive to the Spirit and goodness of God. You are going from glory to glory and from place to place in the realm of the Spirit. When you open up the door for Him to inhabit you, He opens up the door for you to come up higher (like the eagle) to where He can show you things that are yet to come.
